March 30th was a great day to be on the water. The Wekiva River was full of herself today! From Anhingas and Great Blue Herons posing for us to the sights and sounds of Spring surrounding us. There were Pied-billed Grebes, Cormorants, Moorhens, Red-winged Blackbirds, Little Blue Herons, Green Herons, Skinks on the trees with a mix of Gators and Turtles out sunning. On the way down, there was a Wild Turkey on the river bank and all the sudden, he decided to fly across the river right in front of us. That was a nice show. The Blue Flag Iris is in full bloom, that was the "pearl" of the day and the Juvy Bald Eagle lead us back to shore.
