Paddling Florida's Nature Scene February 28, 2014

You can't order weather like this, simply a beautiful day. Clear blue skies, lots of fresh sunshine and a cool Northerly breeze. We came up on a Limpkin who went into overdrive calling for her mate. When he heard her and came flying in it was the coolest thing. We got to see a Great Blue Heron sitting on her nest with her 2 chicks chattering for more food. There were many other types of wildlife about as well. The log of Turtles made for a nice treat and we got to see a few small Alligators out sunning too. Then we came upon the whopper, stretched out there next to the river and we all gave him lots of room ;-) as we paddled by. The Wekiva is a magical place with lots of Nature to share. We never get tired of the Wekiva River.

It was a beautiful day and a wonderful trip. I'm so glad you had room on the tour. I have shared your tour and brochure with the folks at the Adora Inn. Hope they may send some people your way.
Thanks again,

Heidi
