The Mullet were jumping all around our kayaks this morning as we headed out for a paddle on the Wekiva River. There were many Turtles out sunning and we watched a Softshell launch herself back into the river after having just laid her eggs. The Little Blue Heron in the calico phase was staying just ahead of us and the Green Heron gave us a fly-by. The Great Blues were all out fishing and the Water Hemlock, Pickerel Weed, Spatterdock and Eel Grass are all in bloom taking advantage of the fresh Spring air. It was a beautiful day on the river. The Butterflies, Dragonflies and Damselflies are out pollinating the flowers... as the circle of life goes on and on.
